Following the atomic design methodology to create our design system Red Stone. We began by auditing existing designs, identifying strengths and weaknesses. This allowed us to establish a solid foundation, crafting a cohesive and consistent visual language for our product.
Our goal was to bring cohesion and clarity to each product, with a foundation of Vodafone design language by building a new design system.
A design system only works when there’s input from a wider team.
Red Stone design system streamlines the design and development process through consolidation, standardization, and documentation. By reducing decision-making friction, we freed teams to focus on higher problems while increasing quality and consistency of our products.
Encouraging contributions and constructive criticism helps establish trust with teams and transforms the design system into a collective resource, with transparency at its core.
